A Visitation and a Prayer Service for Rebecca L. “Becky” Lambert will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, with the family greeting. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

A Graveside Service for Rebecca L. “Becky” Lambert will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wilcox Cemetery in Wilcox, Nebraska with Pastor Candance Miller officiating.

Rebecca Lynn “Becky” Lambert, 68 years of age, of Aurora, Nebraska, formerly of Holdrege, passed away on February 15, 2024, at the Westfield Quality Care of Aurora. Becky was born on April 11, 1955, in North Platte, Nebraska, to Bernard and Lois (Jacoby) Lambert. Her family moved to Wilcox, Nebraska where she lived on a homestead outside of Wilcox. Becky attended Wilcox Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1973.
On October 10, 1973, she married Jim Bendorf in Wilcox. The couple had a daughter, Brandi and son, Justin. The marriage later ended in divorce.

Becky lived in North Platte for a few years working in several businesses. Later, she moved to Wilcox where she was a homemaker and mother, taking care of her children. She owned and operated the Wilcox Grocery Store and then owned and operated the Busy “B” Catering, Cakes & Floral business, for many years. Becky also worked at Bee Office Supply, Kayton Electric, General Glass and Bruce Furniture, all in Holdrege. In 2016, she retired due to health issues.

Becky was a very talented seamstress and made a lot of clothes for her children. She and her twin sister, Roxie, enjoyed being in many craft shows together, sewing, and quilting. She was also very talented in designing flower arrangements and painting. Becky was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and the Huskers. She loved camping, fishing, boating and traveling with her family. She went on two cruises and traveled by motorhome throughout the 48 states, visiting some many times, and was in all 50 states, except Hawaii. Most of all, Becky was very involved in all of her children’s activities in school and church and in more recent years, was a devoted, loving grandmother.
She was a member of the Methodist churches in both Wilcox and Holdrege and was also a past member and president of the B.P.O. DOES. Becky was fun loving, and will be remembered for always having a smile and laugh for everyone she knew.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Roxanne Pickard; and sister, Connie Silas and her husband, Bill.She leaves to celebrate her life; her children: Brandi Brown and her husband, Tyler of North Platte; and Justin Bendorf and his wife, Jamie of Giltner, Nebraska; four grandsons: Tate and Grayson Bendorf of Giltner; and Jaydn and Jason Boss of North Platte; her brother, Tom Lambert and his wife, Lana of Wayne, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Jack Pickard and his daughter, Sherri of North Platte; her significant other for over 20 years, Larry Duval of Holdrege; along with many nieces, nephews and many friends.

A memorial has been established in Becky’s honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
