Marvin William Sheneman, Jr. 64 years of age, of Oxford, Nebraska, passed away, on July 13, 2024, at the Arbor Care Center in Franklin, Nebraska. Marv was born in Holdrege on August 17, 1959, the youngest of five children, born to Marvin and Lois (Berry) Sheneman. He received his education from Loveland Public School in Loveland, Colorado, and graduated with the class of 1977.

Following his education, Marv moved to south central Nebraska where he lived until he passed away. He worked hard as a truck driver hauling concrete for Kingsley for the majority of his working years but also hauled cattle for Olsen Cattle Company, and grain for family and friends.

Marv enjoyed NASCAR racing, and being outdoors: sailing, camping, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. You could usually find him riding his motorcycle up until his accident in 2007 and after months of hard work and rehabilitation at Madonna, he was able to live at home on his own again. Above all else, Marv loved spending time with his three daughters: Andrea, Kirstie, and Danielle but especially his grandchildren. He is a one-of-a-kind man with a heart of gold. Marv was a member of the Fraternal Order Of Eagles Aerie 3132 and Pheasants Forever.

Marv was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Donald Sheneman.

He is survived by his three daughters: Andrea Weaver of Kearney, Nebraska; Kirstie McDowell and her husband, Jordan of Axtell, Nebraska; and Danielle Bates and her husband, Brett of Berlin, Alabama; six grandchildren: Bradley, Aria, and Baylee Malcom; Avery, Gracee, and Mazie McDowell; one brother, Richard Sheneman and his wife, Vickie of Loveland; two sisters: Connie White and her husband, Jerry of Loveland; Linda Dahl and her husband, Bill of Minden, Nebraska; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Marv will be loved and missed by all.

There will be no visitation or memorial book signing. The family is honoring his wish for cremation.

Memorials in Marv’s honor are suggested to the family for later designation.
