Lincoln Police Department arrested a 36-year-old man after he damaged a police cruiser, two businesses, and multiple other vehicles with a skid steer in Lincoln on Sunday.

More from KLKN TV:

Samuel Peyrot is being charged with second-degree assault and criminal mischief.

Officials said the incident began around 2:30 p.m., at the U-Stop near 73rd and Pine Lake Rd.

Authorities said Peyrot was driving recklessly around several parking lots in the area before police confronted him at the Home Depot nearby.

They say Peyrot hit several vehicles and the building itself before ramming into an LPD cruiser.

Police said Peyrot finally gave up after officers drew their firearms and gave him commands to get out of the skid loader. He was then taken into custody. No shots were fired during the incident.
