Weather permitting, work will begin tomorrow on the I-80 Sidney Westbound Rest Area near mile marker 61.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation says Paul Reed Construction of Gering is the contractor for this project, and work will include the construction of a new rest area building.
Traffic will not be permitted in the rest area, and there is an anticipated completion date of October 2025.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
