The West Nebraska All-Star committee has announced the coaches for the 2024 football and volleyball showcase games in Scottsbluff set for Saturday, June 1st.
Let’s start on the gridiron where Mitchell head coach Nick Kuxhausen will lead the West team along with assistant coaches Trey Allison (Scottsbluff), David Becker (Mitchell), and Josh Dean (Hemingford).
Heading up the East team will be Alma’s Brendan Johnsen and his assistants will be Joe Boehler (Alma), Scott Johnsen (Medicine Valley), and Tye Spies (Loomis).
For volleyball the West will be led by Gering head coach Amanda Cochran with Sarah Walker (Morrill) serving as the assistant coach.
The East head coach will be Overton’s Hayley Ryan while Tammy Kenton (Sumner-Eddyville-Miller) will be the assistant coach.
The 46th annual West Nebraska football game will kickoff at 11 am at Bearcat Stadium while the 40th annual volleyball match will have first serve at 3 pm at WNCC’s Cougar Palace.
A portion of the proceeds from the two games benefit local organizations.
