Both Scottsbluff soccer teams improved to 6-3 on the season with wins over Torrington on Tuesday night.
The Lady Bearcats traveled to Torrington and picked up a 12-1 win. They led 12-0 at halftime and got hat tricks from Emma Foote and Kate Larson.
The boys match was here in town at the Landers Complex and a lot lower scoring as Scottsbluff emerged with a 1-0 shutout win. Scottsbluff got the lone goal of the match with under two minutes gone by in the second half from Aaron Schaff.
Both Scottsbluff teams will for matches at Douglas WY next Tuesday, April 20th.
Girls Tennis at Lexington Invite
The Gering, Scottsbluff, and Alliance girls tennis teams competed at the Lexington Invite on Tuesday. Alliance got the top area finish in third place, Gering was fifth, and Scottsbluff finished back in seventh place.
Gering’s top performers were Kristen Whaley at No. 1 singles and Paige Schneider at No. 2 singles, both players went 3-0 in pool play matches before losing championship matches.
Megan Bewley of Scottsbluff finished 2-1 in pool play matches and won her third place match to finish 3-1 for the Invite.
