The investiture of Chadron State College’s twelfth president, Dr. Ron K. Patterson, took place Friday at Memorial Hall.
The nearly two hour long ceremony was filled with pomp and circumstance and delegates from several Nebraska colleges.
Former Gering Senator John Stinner and Western Community College Area Board of Governors member was among those to speak, and said that Dr. Patterson is the visionary leader that Chadron State College needs.
“I strongly believe we have the right man in the right place at the right time with the right stuff to guide and negotiate through these challenges,” said Stinner. “Congratulations President Patterson, and good luck.”
Dr. Paul Turman, Chancellor of the Nebraska State College System , added that Patterson is deeply committed to academic excellence and community engagement and understands the challenges facing the college
