A young woman from Scottsbluff gets the crown this past weekend during the Miss Nebraska pageant in North Platte.
Miss Scotts Bluff County Jamie Rose Chen was crowned as this year’s Outstanding Teen. Now, she’s the recipient of a $2,000 scholarship and will represent Nebraska at the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen competition this summer in Orlando.
Chen made local headlines five years ago as a 8th grader after earning a perfect score on her ACT’s and getting a full scholarship offer to UNL
