During Monday night’s Scottsbluff City Council meeting, Matt Salomon provided the board an update from the Panhandle Humane Society on the 21 dogs that were rescued from a squalid camper west of town.

“The 21 dogs that were rescued back in March, they were able to adopt out almost all the ones except for four. All of them have been adopted except for two. And it sounds like, you know, those will probably be adopted fairly soon,” explained Salomon. “No issues with the previous owners, they’ve surrendered the dogs, and so all the dogs are in good homes.”

Salomon informed the council that there’s one mom dog with three pups that is currently in foster care and PHS Staff is just waiting for the puppies to get a little bit bigger and then they’ll adopt them out once they’re ready to be weaned.”
