Scottsbluff City Hall will be getting a new roof following a hard-hitting hail storm from 2023.
During last week’s council meeting, a nearly $132,000 contract for the repairs was awarded to Ironclad Construction. Councilmember Matt Salomon asked City Manager Kevin Spencer on the expected timeline for repairs.
“Do you think they’ll start work this summer or is there too much work going on right now?” asked Salomon.
“I think they’ll start and finish this summer,” replied Spencer. “We have more to do, so this is just the first two. First the Public Safety (Building) and now this one.”
Spencer noted that Ironclad was the low bid for the job, and it came in below the city engineer’s estimate.
