A defaced firearm results in felony charges for a Scottsbluff man pulled over for speeding in Gering late Friday night.

He was arrested for DUI, and a subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of open tequilla bottles and a 9 mm handgun with a defaced serial number.

Gallegos is being held on a $200,000 bond on charges including Possession of a Defaced Firearm, DUI (.15 or higher) and refusal to submit.
