KIMBALL- The #2 Bridgeport Bulldogs captured the WTC crown Thursday night without dropping a single set in three matches, including a 2-0 win over #1 Gordon-Rushville in the title match.

The Bulldogs came out and won their first match of the day against #7 Kimball, 2-0 (25-11, 25-11), then went on to defeat #3 Morrill, 2-0 (25-16, 25-20), in the semifinals to advance to take on #1 Gordon-Rushville.
Bridgeport dominated the first set of the championship, downing the Mustangs, 25-9, in the first set. In the second set, Gordon-Rushville found their grove and even got to set point with the Mustang advantage being 24-21 at the first set point.
The Bulldogs didn’t waver, and rallied back to take the final set, 26-24, to secure their WTC crown.
Gordon-Rushville finished as runner-up with a win over Morrill in the semifinals to advance to the championship. Morrill finished third with a win over Mitchell in the third-place game, 2-0 (25-11, 25-16).
