For the first time since 1991 the Bayard Tigers are the Western Trails Conference Volleyball Tournament champions.
The Tigers went 2-0 on Thursday in Morrill as the top seed and they won the championship match over No. 2 seed Gordon-Rushville in a sweep 25-19, 25-16. Bayard won their semi-final match over Hemingford 25-16, 25-13.
With the two wins yesterday Bayard now has a record this season of 19-1.
