Tana J. Oksendahl (Nee Vaughn), also known as Sell, 77, of Scottsbluff passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Monument Care and Rehab. Her memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Grace Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Bruce Peterson officiating. It is respectfully requested that in lieu of any flowers, memorials in Tana’s honor be made in care of her family to be designated at a later time. Tana was born on September 19, 1946, to Mary Ann (Lawler) and Randall Elwin Vaughn in Torrington, Wy. She graduated from Torrington High School in 1966. Tana made her home in Scottsbluff with her 3 children Mark, Lora, and Troy Sell. Due to poor health Tana retired in 2011.
Tana was a loving grandmother and never missed an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren, with countless hours of sleepovers, babysitting and caring for them over the years. She was a woman who fiercely loved her family. Learning a love for gardening from her mother, it was common to find a vast array of beautiful flowers planted and blooming in her yard, creating a welcoming environment for family, friends, and neighborhood honeybees. When she wasn’t tending to her garden, she could be found engaging in her lifelong love of crafting, making carefully detailed mementos and keepsakes for friends and family that came from the heart. Tana was quick witted and had a stubborn streak and would never shy away from a debate on a topic she was passionate about. She was a social butterfly who never met a stranger, and loved spending time with the friends she met along life’s path.
Proceeding Tana in death are her parents; ex-husband Larry Sell; son Mark L Sell and infant brother.
Tana is survived by her daughter Lora Sell (Erick Wagoner); son Troy Sell (Kacey); daughter in law Jill Armstrong; sisters Lynette Delcamp (Ed) and Susie Hennings (Kenny); brothers Randall Vaughn, Michael Vaughn (Rita) and John Carey (Johnna); granddaughters Kayla Follman (Zane), Keara Sell and Teagan Sell; grandsons: Michael Sell (Lacey), Jordan L Sell, Jordan Moreno (Carrie Snyder), Taylor Tapster (Miranda Molina), Justis Sell (Winter Keller), Marcus Sell (Samantha) and Aidan Sell; great grandchildren Aiden, Hyrper, Liam, Ashton, Parker, Evelyn, Jack, Mia, Avery, Josiah, Hendrix, Ariea and Selena.
