Robert Montgomery (Monty) Price, of Scottsbluff, passed away Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
Monty was born February 15, 1950, to Virgil and Donna (Strand) Price in Igloo, South Dakota. He received his education in Deadwood South Dakota and Morrill. He lived in Casper, Wyoming, Torrington, Wyoming, and Chandler, Arizona before settling in Scottsbluff to be close to family. He worked in agriculture and as a heavy equipment operator. After retirement, he continued to enjoy work having a successful lawn service and driving truck for the sugar campaign. He married and later divorced Guadalupe Martinez and from this union he had two children, Michelle Price and Robert Montgomery Price III. Monty enjoyed karaoke, playing pool, camping, garage sales, woodworking, and was an avid Raiders fan. He was a devoted father, and grandfather and never missed a family gathering or the sporting events and activities of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Monty is survived by his daughter Michelle of Scottsbluff and son Robert (Melissa) of Scottsbluff, stepdaughter Belinda Hughes of Guernsey, WY, as well as grandchildren Adam Dominguez, Stephanie Dominguez, Satasha Peña, Juan De La Cruz, Sairie Price, Robert Price IV, Kevin Price, Aaron Price, Alyssa Gomez, Luciano Rios, Anaveah Rios, Giovanni Rios, George Hernandez, Abel Garcia, Natalie Garcia, Roman Hernandez, and Zaine Hernandez, 11 great-grandchildren, brothers Kenny, Sam, Mike and Bill and sisters Donna and Sheila, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Stephanie Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Chuck and George, and sister Georgia.
