Margaret L. Hopkins, age 64, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023, in Harrisburg, NE. A memorial service for Margaret will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the Scottsbluff Seventh-day Adventist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Valley View Seventh-day Adventist Christian School. She was born on November 19, 1958, to Lester and Betty Liscoe in Fairfield, CA, and grew up in Vacaville, CA. Margaret was a devoted Christian and a member of the Scottsbluff Seventh-day Adventist Church. She lived her life with faith and compassion, always putting others first. She attended Rio Lindo Adventist Academy, in Healdsburg, CA where she was a member of the four-year club and graduated high school with honors.
Margaret first married Timothy Grant, and she was a loving wife and mother to three children, Michael, Teresa, and Sheryl. She treasured her role as a mother and dedicated herself to providing her children with love, guidance, and support.
Margaret shared rural life with her second husband, Larry Hopkins, for the past 22 years in Harrisburg. She was deeply involved in her church community. She served in many positions and was known for her kindness, generosity, and dedication to her faith.
Margaret is survived by her sister, Beverly; brother, Bob; and her children, Michael, Teresa, and Sheryl, who will miss her deeply. Margaret’s unwavering faith, love for her family, dedication to rural life, and her community will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
