Lisa was born on April 8. 1966 to her parents Gary Boots and Rosella Rust in Alliance, NE. She grew up in a small farm town called Hyannis, NE where she had a horse named Thunder and enjoyed helping around the ranch. She graduated high school from Hyannis, NE in 1984 and went on to Chadron State College to continue her education. Lisa went on and got married and had two sons, Devin and Derek, who she cherished more than anything. She enjoyed spending much of her summer days with her boys, whether it was just in her own back yard or numerus outings to the lake.

Lisa loved being outdoors in the sunshine. One main memory she enjoyed with her boys was breeding and raising golden retrievers. Lisa had a love for all animals. Lisa was a very care-free person with a loving attitude, warm heart and uncomplaining nature. Though her sons would say she had a stubbornness to her, they loved her unconditionally and said she would do anything for anyone. She loved her grandchildren very much, and even though it was only for a short period of time, she made many, many memories with them that they will cherish for a life time.

Lisa is survived by her parents Gary (Carol) Boots, and Tom and Rosella Rust; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Devin (Bailee) Nelson and Derek (Lindsey) Nelson; grandchildren, Mason, Zoey, Ryker, Livianna, Brylee, Raelynn, Warren, and Weylan Nelson; sister Cynthia; and many nieces, nephew and cousins.
