Donna J. (Johnson) Rathbun, 85, of Westminster, Colorado passed away on December 26, 2023, in Lafayette, Colorado. Per her wishes she has been cremated, a Celebration of Life will be held April 26, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Scottsbluff, NE at 1:00 pm. Donna was born January 18, 1938, to Hobert and Tillie Johnson in Oshkosh, Ne. They moved to Torrington in 1943, where she attended school and graduated in 1956.
Donna met Don Rathbun in Denver and they were married on June 14, 1958. They resided in Westminster, CO until January 1996 when Don passed. After which Donna became very active in TOPS and Westminster Widows. You almost had to have your own monthly calendar for Donna to keep up with her comings and goings. She met many friends, who became more like family, at the pool, TOPS and Widows. Many spent time playing cards, Farkle, and various other games at least once a month, funny thing was she was not a people person until she joined Widows after Don passed away.
She is preceded in death by her husband Don, parents Hobe and Tillie, brother Kenny, sisters Virgina and Judy, brother in laws Pat Clark, Leroy Rathbun and Wesley Rathbun, and sister-in-law Wilba Lea Rathbun.
She is survived by her sisters Glenna Clark and Sharon Brooks, brother-in-law Melvin Schlagel, sister-in-law Zella Rathbun and many nieces and nephews. As well as her very good friends and care takers Will and Jacque Mahan.
