Wayne State is back on the road this weekend for Northern Sun Conference games at Minnesota Crookston Friday at 6 p.m. and Bemidji State Saturday for a 2 p.m. contest. The Wildcats are ranked sixth in this week’s AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll and sits at 10-2 overall and 4-0 in the NSIC. Minnesota Crookston enters Friday’s match vs. Wayne State at 3-8 overall and 0-3 in the NSIC while Bemidji State starts the weekend at 5-5 and 0-2 in league matchups. Last season, WSC played both teams twice and won each match in sweeps. The ‘Cats topped UMC in Wayne (10/7/23) 25-20, 25-10, 25-12 and won again one month later in Crookston (11/3/23) by scores of 25-13, 25-14, 25-15. WSC defeated Bemidji State 25-10, 25-18, 25-17 in Wayne (10/6/23) and won at Bemidji 25-12, 25-14, 25-18.
