At about 10:13 a.m. on Friday morning the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to and investigated a one vehicle rollover traffic accident about 2.5 miles northwest of Leigh on 564th Avenue, just north of 822nd Road. The accident occurred when a northbound van driven by Kyra Kannegieter, 27, of rural Madison lost control on the gravel road and entered the west ditch rolling and landing back on its wheels. Kannegieter and her three small children were all transported to FRHS with non-life-threatening injuries by Leigh Fire and Rescue after they were removed from the wreckage. Seatbelts and child safety seats were in use and are credited with lessening any injuries. The van is considered a total loss.
