WEST POINT – The West Point Police Department is warning the public about a phone scam going around.

The caller claims to be with the West Point Police Department, and that you will have a warrant out for your arrest unless you pay the requested amount of money. This is a scam.

The West Point Police Department will not call you to inform you of a warrant or to ask for money.

If you should receive a scam call, hang up immediately and contact local police.
