The West Point-Beemer Football Team lost 28-0 at Battle Creek Friday night.

Jeff’s Game Recap:

The Braves led 7-0 after the 1st quarter and 21-0 at halftime. Battle Creek shutout the Cadets 7-0 in the 3rd quarter to make up the final score. The defense gave up 351 yards of total offense, including 239 rushing.

Jeff’s Ponca Preview:

West Point-Beemer (3-4) hosts Ponca (1-6) Friday night in action that will be aired on Classic Country KTIC. The Indians fell 49-14 at home to Hartington Cedar Catholic last week. Head Coach Jacob Ellis says you know what you’re going to get with Ponca.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. with pregame at 6:30.

Jeff’s Take on the Game:

This should be a win for the Cadets I would think. The game figures to be close and competitive, but I give West Point-Beemer the nod in this one. The Cadets have done some nice things this year, and I think Friday’s game will culminate in a win for these Seniors in their last ever home game. I thought West Point-Beemer competed well last week against a tough Battle Creek team. I look for the way the Cadets fought in that game to carry over into Friday’s game. It should be a good game all the way around for West Point-Beemer.
