Wayne State’s Dylan Kneifl is NCAA National Qualifier in high jump for third straight season

Wayne, Neb. — Wayne State College senior Dylan Kneifl has qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Emporia State in Emporia, Kansas May 24th.  The NCAA announced national qualifiers in NCAA Division II Tuesday afternoon and it marks the third straight season that Kneifl has qualified in the high jump for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

A graduate of Wisner-Pilger High School, Kneifl is tied for 12th in NCAA Division II after matching his school record of 7’ ¼” at the Drake Relays April 24th.  He earned All-NSIC honors last weekend with a second-place finish at the NSIC Outdoor Championships in Mankato, Minnesota clearing 6’ 8 ¾”. 

Last season, Kneifl earned USTFCCCA All-America Second Team honors by placing 11th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships clearing 6’ 8 ¼”.  As a sophomore in 2022, he placed 12th at the NCAA Championships with a top mark of 6’ 9 ½”.

Kneifl will compete in the high jump on Friday, May 24th at 3:30 p.m.
