Wayne, Neb. — Following a 2-2 weekend at the Colorado Premier Challenge, the Wayne State volleyball team is ranked eighth in the latest AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll released late Monday afternoon. The Wildcats received one first-place votes and collected 810 points in voting from various Division II coaches across the country.
Wayne State is 6-2 on the season after posting wins in Denver over the weekend vs. Wheeling (W.Va.) and #24 Regis while falling to #13 Chaminade and Dallas Baptist. The Wildcats open Northern Sun Conference play on the road this weekend visiting MSU Moorhead Friday night at 6 p.m. and #24 Northern State Saturday in a 3 p.m. contest.
