Power lines fell across Highway 91 at County Road 21 and fallen tree caused five power poles to down, impacting electrical service to Kennard and Arlington. This and other storm related damage is on the Washington County Sheriff’s Activity Summary for May 20th through this morning. Arrests during this past week include a 22 year old on two warrants from Omaha Police after a traffic stop yesterday evening in Fort Calhoun. A 24 year old male was arrested on Highway 75 and County Road p-38 for driving under suspension. A 53 year old male was arrested for drunk driving and driving under suspension after a traffic stop in Kennard. Wednesday night, Washington County deputies were advised to be on the look out for a vehicle that ran from Douglas County Deputies. That vehicle was located on Highway 75 south of Blair, the suspect vehicle fled on Cook Drive and wrecked on Rambleridge Drive. The driver fled on foot. He was located near a residents. A 32 year old male was arrested on Douglas County felony warrants for robbery, fresh Douglas County warrants, and local charges for reckless driving flight to avoid arrest, obstruction and possession of methamphetamine. Additionally, the Washington County Sheriff’s staff had several situations involving the storms from earlier this week.
