July 24th, 2024 | Rebel Sjeklocha

The 69th of edition of the Wahoo Saddle Club PRCA Rodeo is happening July 25-27 in Wahoo, Nebraska. This year’s rodeo performances will feature all of the traditional rodeo events, with a few new additions.

Rodeo committee member Katelyn Houser says the committee enjoys bringing a professional rodeo to the eastern side of the state.

“It brings a different type of event to this part of Nebraska,” said Houser. “This allows us to bring the western way of life to an area with a high density population.”

To add to the excitement, this year’s rodeo will feature nightly performances from the Thundering Hooves Drill Team prior to the rodeo. Additionally, a queen contest was held a few weeks prior to select representatives for the next year. The queens will have their official coronation during the first performance on Thursday night. This year’s titleholders are:

  • Miss Wahoo Rodeo – Taylor Bolling
  • Miss Teen Wahoo Rodeo – Dakota Glasshoff
  • Little Miss Wahoo Rodeo – Mae Sikyta
