The Omaha Mavericks secured the series sweep with their 15th shutout of the season after defeating the North Dakota Fighting Hawks 4-0.
The Mavericks improved to 35-11 overall and are now 12-3 in conference play.

How It Happened
– Ava Rongisch got the Mavericks on the board with a double to left field to score Sydney Ross in the top of the second.
– In the next at-bat, Jaelle Johnson doubled to right-center to drive in Ava Rongisch, making it 2-0.
– Maggie O’Brien added one more run in the second with an RBI single to right, scoring Jaelle Johnson.
– Alex Olson capped off scoring in the top of the seventh with an RBI single to left field, scoring Lynsey Tucker and making it 4-0.
Game Notes
– Kamryn Meyer picked up her 21st victory with seven innings of work and her fifth complete-game shutout.
– Meyer faced 23 batters, striking out 10.
– Omaha outhit UND 9-3.
– Tucker went 3-4 and scored one run. On the weekend she went 7-12 at-bat.
– Maggie O’Brien went 2-4, extending her hitting streak to 18 games.

The Mavericks will close out the regular season next weekend, May 3-4, at Connie Claussen Field as they take on the South Dakota State Jackrabbits and determine the regular season champions.
