Tri County Northeast Football falls to Wisner-Pilger
October 1st, 2024 | Jeff Axtell

The Tri County Northeast Football Team lost 36-22 at home to Wisner-Pilger Friday night.

Jeff’s Game Recap:

Ben Jorgensen was 13-20 for 172 yards passing and two touchdowns. Thatcher Lamp made 7 catches for 95 yards. Jackson Belt made 18 tackles while Bryan Isom totaled 15. Jace Malasek added 12 while Dylan Boyle recorded 9. Jorgensen notched 7. The Wolfpack had 214 yards of total offense, including 172 through the air. Head Coach Jake Kneifl says there were both positives and negatives to take away from the loss. “We had a great second half effort but dug ourselves in a hole, down by 22 at one point. On both sides of the ball we struggled with their size up front. I was happy with how our passing game had success, something we have been looking to improve on.”

Jeff’s Wakefield Preview:

Tri County Northeast (1-4) takes on Wakefield (0-5) on the road Friday night. The Trojans lost 54-19 at home to GACC last week in a game that was aired on 107.9 the Bull.

Jeff’s Take on the Contest:

I look for the Wolfpack to win this one. These two are rivals, and what better way to send a message to your rival than on the Football Field. Both teams have had their fair share of struggles this year… Wakefield more so than Tri County Northeast. I think given the number of injuries the Trojans have and given the makeup of the Wolfpack Football Team that Tri County Northeast is going to win. It might be an ugly game, but in the end I think the Wolfpack come out on top and get the W.
