Three Rivers Public Health Department, which services Dodge, Saunders and Washington County, has offices in two of those counties, and had planned to open up an office in Washington County – but that was delayed by the Covid Pandemic. Two suites at Vinton Corners in downtown Blair have been leased by the health department, but renovations are needed to bring it up to medical standards. Three Rivers director Terra Uhing approached the county board of supervisors for funding. The board approved 20 thousand dollars towards the renovations to come from the Life Assistance Funds – an offshoot of the ARPA funds from the federal government.
