The Tekamah-Herman Football Team was blanked 56-0 at Yutan Friday night.

Jeff’s Game Recap:

The Chieftains led 7-0 after the 1st quarter and 35-0 at halftime. Yutan shutout the Tigers 14-0 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 49-0 at the end of three. The Chieftains won the 4th quarter 7-0. Kash Kellogg was 11-16 passing for 63 yards. Griffin Breckenridge hauled in 8 passes for 58 yards. The Tigers had 132 yards of total offense. The defense gave up 624 yards of total offense, including 411 on the ground.

Jeff’s Fremont Bergan Preview:

Tekamah-Herman (1-5) hosts Fremont Bergan (2-4) Friday night. The Knights lost 20-7 at home to Aquinas last week.

Jeff’s Take on the Game:

This is going to be another tough game for the Tigers. Bergan lost 7-6 to Yutan if that tells you anything. Bergan has always been tough for Tekamah-Herman in the past too. The Tigers have to play better on both sides of the ball, especially defensively, if they want to pick up the win on Friday. I think the game being in Tekamah as opposed to Fremont helps the Tigers so we’ll see how Tekamah-Herman does and responds to last week’s loss.
