The Stanton Football Team picked up an 11-8 win at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Friday night.

The game was tied at 8 through 3 before the Mustangs kicked the game winning field goal in the 4th quarter.

Parker Krusemark ran the ball 17 times for 91 yards, and scored once. Becker Pohlman had 12 carries for 51 yards.

Kamden Dusatko and Mitchell Hupp each made 10 tackles while Damien Erickson had 9 and Krusemark 7.

Stanton had 243 yards of total offense, including 207 on the ground.

The Bears had 118 yards of total offense, 71 coming through the air.

Huge win for the Mustangs.

Stanton (2-0) hosts Wakefield (0-2) on Friday.

The Trojans lost 64-22 at home to Wisner-Pilger Friday night.

The Mustangs should win big and do a number on Wakefield.

The Gators lost 36-14 to the Bears so Stanton should be able to win this one pretty good and big I would imagine.

The Mustangs have to come out and play and be physical.

Stanton has to play physical, in your face, smash mouth Football and must hit hard.

The Mustangs have to make the pads pop and must fly to the Football.

Stanton has to hit hard and bring the lunch pail to the field with them come Friday.

The Mustangs have to get fired and jacked up and psyched and ready to play a great game all the way around.

Stanton has to turn in another complete game performance and effort on Friday.

If the Mustangs do that then they should walk away with a dominant victory, and head into the Clarkson/Leigh game with a 3-0 record.

Stanton has to play well though…the Mustangs can’t take Wakefield lightly or anything like that.
