Pender was eliminated from the Class C Junior Legion State Baseball Tournament on Tuesday night, dropping a close game 7-5 to host team Hartington.
Pender led 4-2 after the first inning and made it 5-2 after the second.
Hartington tied things up by scoring three runs in the third inning.
The score remained tied at 5-5 until Hartington added two runs in the sixth inning, giving them a 7-5 lead which would go on to be the final score.
Hartington advances to play Malcolm in the State Championship on Wednesday, while the season ends for Pender.
