Pender wins Class D Boys State Golf Title as State Tournament concludes

The Pender Boys Golf Team won the Class D State Championship as play wrapped up on Wednesday at Lake Maloney Golf Course in North Platte.

The Pendragons shot a two-day team total of 65 over par to claim their first state title since 1969.

Individually, the Pendragons’ Quinton Heineman finished 2nd, shooting a two-day total of 8 over par while fellow teammate Layton Gralheer shot a 9 over par for the Tournament, finishing 3rd.

Trey Johnson of Pender tied for 13th, shooting a 21 over par on the two days while Howells-Dodge’s Kellen Fiala tied for 19th with a 24 over par over the two days.

Pender’s Mitchell Kelly tied for 26th at 27 over par for the tournament while the Pendragons’ Spencer Rabbass finished tied for 66th as he shot a two-day total of 42 over par.

In Class C at Elks Country Club in Columbus, Tekamah-Herman placed 6th, shooting 124 over par as a team for the Tournament while North Bend Central finished 13th with 161 over par.

Individually, Tekamah-Herman’s Bret Brenneis finished tied for 22nd with 22 over par while teammate Brody Rogers tied for 26th at 24 over par.

Oakland-Craig’s Owen Anderson tied for 31st at 26 over par while North Bend Central’s Jacob Wright finished 42nd at 33 over par.

Tekamah-Herman’s Griffen Breckenridge tied for 44th with a two-day total of 35 over par while GACC’s Ryan Hrbek finished tied for 50th at 38 over par.

Josh Egbers of Logan View finished tied for 52nd at 39 over par as did North Bend Central’s Landon Mimick.

Thatcher Zink of Tekamah-Herman tied for 63rd at 43 over par while Zac Pospisil of North Bend Central tied for 65th at 44 over par.

NBC’s Wyatt Rangeloff tied for 69th at 45 over par while Tekamah-Herman’s Caden Booth shot a two-day total of 61 over par to finish 84th.

Nolan Williams of North Bend Central finished 92nd with a two-day total of 91 over par.
