Pender suffered its first loss of the Class C junior Legion State Baseball Tournament, falling 6-1 to Malcolm on Monday night in Hartington.
Pender scored its lone run of the game in the sixth inning. They were held to four hits in the game and committed four defensive errors.

Pender now drops to the elimination bracket and will play Hartington in the semifinals on Tuesday at 4:00.
