Northwest Iowa Dairies infected with Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza

Two dairies in northwest Iowa have been found to be infected with the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza. The Iowa Department of Agriculture says a dairy in Plymouth County, and another in Sioux County have tested positive. The disease is deadly in poultry flocks and wild birds, but dairy cattle can recover with treatment.
