HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:

Head Softball Coach Erin Sharpe on how the doubleheaders played out:

“We have been pressing too hard on ourselves,” Sharpe said. “When we play to have fun, we enjoy the little things more and I think that makes us better. We have better at-bats, better defensive plays and better energy. We have been really focusing on our energy and the ‘vibes’ lately, which will only help us in the long run.”

Sharpe on hitting the road this week:

“Playing at home is always nice, but something about being on the road and creating more memories with your teammates is different,” Sharpe said. “I’m excited to be on the road and focus hard on our approach to each game.”

UP NEXT:

The Hawks will compete with Iowa Central Community College in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
