A York, Nebraska native was named the Helena Intern of the Year.

Zach Nienhueser received first place in the 2024 Northern Business Unit Intern of the Year Scholarship Awards presented by Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC.

Nienhueser is studying agronomy at the University of Nebraska. He received a $1,000 award toward his education for his exceptional performance and personal growth as a Helena intern.

Nienhueser worked as a Sales and Agronomy Intern based in Norfolk, Nebraska, during the summer of 2024. His work required interacting with customers and prospects and assisting with agronomic and precision activities. His area of focus involved enhancing seed sales with in-season services and product recommendations through the Helena Acre, a full-service crop management program. By analyzing field conditions, supporting Helena staff, and responding to grower needs, Nienhueser’s efforts improved business throughout his internship.

The 2024 Helena Northern Business Unit intern class was comprised of 18 students from 12 universities. The scholarship award is designed to encourage creativity, innovation, and hard-work among the intern team and assist with college expenses.

Helena’s Northern Business Unit consists of Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, Wisconsin and portions of Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.
