Morningside Volleyball comes up short against Mount Marty

YANKTON, S.D. – The Mustangs bounced back from a tough loss at Dordt earlier this week with a 3-0 non-conference victory over Mount Marty. 

Sydney Marlow led Morningside on both sides of the ball, pairing 16 kills at a .333 clip with 10 digs and a block. Barbora Kozouskova and Jacey Miller followed with nine digs apiece to flank Marlow on defense, while Claire Wilson hit a match-high .529 while terminating 10 points. 

The Mustangs had a strong defensive presence at the net, collecting nine blocks, led by Adelyn Harris with six.

Kyla Dyrstad and Aleksandra Dalach split setting duties, with Dyrstad collecting 18 assists and Dalach picking up 15. 

Morningside is back in action on Wednesday, hosting no. 1 Northwestern in its home opener at 7:30 p.m. at the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center.
