SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Morningside Baseball collected another sweep Saturday, winning a 1-0 11-inning marathon before taking the B-side of the doubleheader 6-0.

Luke Froelich provided the game-winning contact in the bottom of the 11th, dribbling a ball towards third to score Eddie Brancato with the bases loaded. Hastings went for the play at the plate, but Brancato arrived ahead of the throw.

He was able to work out of the situation and close the seventh, striking out two and walking one as he collected the save.

Offensively, Froelich and Jayson Willers led the way, each collecting a pair of RBIs. Bishop and Sebastian Zamora, making his Mustang debut in the designated hitter role, each had two RBIs.

Morningside has a streak of 11 home games in front of it, with a four game series against Briar Cliff on the slate for April 6 and 7.
