The Howells-Dodge Volleyball Team won 2-0 over Bancroft-Rosalie at their home Round Robin on Saturday before losing 2-1 to Elgin Public/Pope John and Elkhorn Valley, and then beating Wakefield 3-1 at home Tuesday night.

Jeff’s Bancroft-Rosalie Recap:

The Jaguars defeated the Panthers 25-18 in set one and 25-23 in set two. Taylor Steffensmeier had 11 digs and 11 set assists while Jade Bayer totaled 11 digs.

Jeff’s EPPJ Recap:

The Wolfpack won set one 25-11 and set three 25-17 while the Jaguars took set two 25-16. Bayer had 9 digs while Steffensmeier and Mckenzie Sindelar totaled 13 and 10 digs, respectively.

Jeff’s Elkhorn Valley Recap:

The Falcons won set one 25-18 and set three 25-19 while Howells-Dodge claimed set two 25-21. Ava Noyd had 7 kills while Bayer notched 29 digs. Peyten Becker added 8 while Steffensmeier had 7 digs and 13 set assists. Sindelar dished out 11 set assists.

Jeff’s Wakefield Recap:

The Jaguars won set one 25-20 and set two 25-14 before taking set four 25-18 after dropping set three 25-22.

Jeff’s Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Preview:

Howells-Dodge (6-5) hosts Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (4-10) Thursday night. The Raiders fell 2-0 to North Bend Central and Fremont Bergan at the Fremont Bergan Triangular Tuesday night.

Jeff’s Take on the Contest:

The Jaguars should win this one. LVSS is really struggling right now as they have lost 6 in a row and 8 out of their last 9. Head Coach Sara Franzluebbers is going up against her former team that she once coached. Howells-Dodge has been up and down but they’ve been more consistent than the Raiders have so that’s why I like them in this one.
