Luther had 9 carries for 160 yards and three touchdowns. Bourek made 13 tackles while Brichacek and Belina had 12 and 10, respectively. Carson Heard registered 9 while Luther notched 8. Meyer and Alex Beyer totaled 7 each. The Jaguars had 301 yards of total offense, including 259 rushing. The defense gave up 300 yards of total offense, 214 coming on the ground.
Jeff’s Archangels Catholic Preview:
Howells-Dodge (6-1) takes on Archangels Catholic (7-0) on the road in the regular season finale Friday night. The Defenders won 54-18 at home over Fullerton last week.
Jeff’s Take on the Game:
This is going to be another tough game for the Jaguars, just like the Riverside game was. This Archangels Catholic team is very good, and winning at their place will be very difficult. If there’s a team that can go into Humphrey and win though it is Howells-Dodge. The Jaguars have given Humphrey St. Francis great battles in the past, and this game is no different. It should be a great game that comes down to the wire and is decided on the final possession perhaps. This is big boy Football at its finest, and Howells-Dodge has to flat out bring it come Friday night.
