Heat Safety tips during Extreme Heat Advisories

Extreme Heat Advisories are active for our area – You’re advised to avoid being outside during the hottest part of the day. Heat related illnesses such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke are possible. Signs of heat exhaustion include dizziness, excessive sweating, clammy skin, muscle cramps and a weak pulse. Indicators of a heat stroke include no sweating, a headache, dry skin, nausea, a strong pulse and fainting. You should seek medical attention should these symptoms appear.
