If you get a text or call purporting to be from a potential employer offering you a really great job, beware. The Federal Bureau of Investigation says that criminals are using Artificial Intelligence to build convincing texts and sending them out to unsuspecting victims. In those fake job offers, personal information is gathered about the intended victims through fake job applications, and those scammers also may, ask for money up front for equipment or materials for the job as bait. The FBI recommends ignoring any text, call or other message you did not initiate, especially if the scammer’s claims seem too good to be true.
