Creighton Men announce Big East Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. — The BIG EAST Conference has announced the league schedule for the 2024-25 Creighton men’s basketball program. CU’s 12th season in the league begins with a Dec. 18 tilt at Georgetown and once again features a 20-game slate in a true double round-robin format.

For the third time in the last four seasons, Creighton’s BIG EAST home opener comes against Villanova, with this season’s match-up occurring on Dec. 21. CU takes a 10-day holiday break before resuming the league gauntlet in Omaha on New Year’s Eve against St. John’s.

Creighton will be on the road for four of its first five games in the 2025 calendar year, a stretch that starts with a January 3 trip to Marquette. Eight days later a trip to Butler beckons before CU returns home for a meeting with Providence scheduled for Jan. 14.

The Bluejays meet up with two-time defending national champion Connecticut on Jan. 18 before trekking to the Windy City to meet DePaul on Jan. 21. CU closes January with home games against Seton Hall (Jan. 25) and Xavier (Jan. 29).

The second half of league play commences on the opening day of February with a road game at Villanova, with a Feb. 5 trip at Providence immediately after.

Four of CU’s next five games will take place inside CHI Health Center Omaha. That grouping opens with a Feb. 8 game vs. Marquette and a Feb. 11 visit from Connecticut. CU hits the road for a Feb. 16 tussle at St. John’s before closing the month with home games vs. Georgetown (Feb. 23) and DePaul (Feb. 26).

The final month of the regular-season stats with a difficult road trip to Xavier (March 1) and Seton Hall (March 4) before the Jays close league play on March 8 with a home contest vs. Butler.
