Omaha, Neb. — Will MacLean delivered a break through performance with four hits (4-for-5) and three RBI as Creighton defeated South Dakota State 10-3 on Tuesday, March 19.
The win lifted Creighton to 15-3 on the season, while South Dakota State fell to 10-11.
Freshman Eli Nissen earned his first win (1-0) as a Bluejay with four shutout innings to open the contest, striking out seven and limiting the Jackrabbits to two hits.
The Bluejays return to action at Stanford on Saturday, March 23 as Creighton plays in the Sunken Diamond at 4:05 p.m.
