The Clarkson/Leigh Volleyball Team swept Archangels Catholic 3-0 on the road last Thursday night before winning 2-0 at home over Wisner-Pilger in the East Husker Conference Tournament Thursday night.

The Patriots won set one 25-7, set two 25-14, and set three 25-12. Baylee Settje had 14 kills while Maizie Stoklasa added 7. Brynn Settje posted 21 digs while Ava Kasik totaled 18. Cadence Indra notched 16 while Izzy Hollatz recorded 9 digs and 21 set assists. Kendall Schneider added 8 digs and 14 set assists.

Jeff’s Wisner-Pilger Recap:

The Patriots took the first set 29-27 and the second set 25-11.

Stanton Preview:

Clarkson/Leigh (25-2) takes on Stanton (18-9) in the EHC Semifinals at Lyons-Decatur Northeast on Saturday. The Mustangs won 2-0 over North Bend Central at North Bend in the Tournament on Thursday. This is the 3rd meeting of the season between the two teams as the Patriots won the first two. First serve is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

Jeff’s Take on the Match:

Stanton played really well against the Tigers on Thursday. Clarkson/Leigh has to be ready to play as the Mustangs will bring it and challenge them. Clarkson/Leigh won 2-1 over Stanton at the Madison Triangular and 2-0 at the Stanton Tournament. I think the Patriots make it win three number 3 on Saturday, but the Mustangs will be a formidable foe. Clarkson/Leigh has to be on their game and play Championship Volleyball, and I think they will. I think it will be a Clarkson/Leigh and Oakland-Craig Championship Match.
