Nebraska catcher Josh Caron was named to the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Watch List, the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission announced Friday afternoon.
Caron is batting .353 this season with three doubles, three home runs, eight RBI and seven runs scored.
The Sun Prairie, Wis., native has started seven of Nebraska’s eight games behind the plate this season.
The Huskers continue play at the Cambria College Classic tomorrow, as Nebraska takes on Hawaii at 3 p.m. at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
