A Husker Football Recruiting Night and Season Preview Event was held in Pender at the Community Center Thursday night. The Special Guest was former Husker Offensive Line Great Aaron Taylor along with Speaker Sean Callahan, Husker Online Recruiting Analyst. Callahan commented on the Huskers’ 2025 Recruiting Class, which is at 17 commits so far.

Callahan says he’s really high on Malcolm Simpson, a four-star defensive lineman from Hitchcock, TX as well as Kade Pietrzak, a three-star defensive lineman from Fargo, ND.

The class is currently ranked 30th in the Nation and 9th in the Big Ten.

Callahan talks about the Recruitment of 5-Star Athlete Michael Terry.

Over 200 people attended Thursday’s Event.

One of the most sought-after recruits in the nation is David Sanders Jr., a five-star offensive lineman with offers from the likes of Tennessee, Georgia, Ohio State, and Nebraska. Callahan talks about his recruiting process.

Callahan says the Huskers have only offered two in-state kids for the Class of 2026, and one of those is Jase Reynolds from Elkhorn North.

Callahan adds Freshman Quarterback Dylan Raiola is the real deal.

The Huskers are looking to have a winning season and make a bowl game for the first time since 2016.

Callahan says the Huskers should be solid at Running Back.

Oregon Transfer Dante Dowdell figures to be in the mix as well.

Callahan says the Huskers are loaded at Wide Receiver.

Carter Nelson is also playing wide receiver for the Huskers.

Callahan says the Huskers should be sound at the Tight End position.

Callahan says the Offensive Line only has a half dozen healthy players with experience.

Callahan says the Blackshirts should be rock solid.

The Blackshirts are led by 2nd year Defensive Coordinator Tony White.

Callahan breaks down Nebraska’s Schedule, saying the Huskers have to get it done early.

Callahan says he thinks Special Teams is an X-Factor as it pertains to the team’s success this season.

The Huskers open up the season on August 31st at home against UTEP.
