The Charger women’s volleyball team has announced the promotion of Tannah Heath to Assistant Volleyball Coach, effective immediately. Heath joined the staff prior to the beginning of the 2023 season.

“We are excited to be able to have Coach Heath spend more time with our program again. She gives us a unique perspective from her extensive career as an NAIA student-athlete to her degree in social work,” said Head Coach Lindsey Weatherford. “Coach Heath has honed her coaching abilities over the past few years and is prepared to continue to develop as an assistant coach.”

Heath was a three-year starter for Charger volleyball, earning honorable mention All-GPAC each season. She appeared in 291 sets for the Cliff, totaling 1,049 digs, 779 assists, and 78 service aces in her career.

“In this ever-changing landscape of collegiate athletics, it is immensely important to foster, develop, and retain young coaches in professional positions for years to come,” said Weatherford. “Briar Cliff’s mission certainly supports this effort, and we hope to help Coach Heath grow throughout her time on the Cliff.”

The Cliff will open the 2024 schedule on the road on August 23-24, as they will play in the Clarke Invitational in Dubuque, Iowa.
