The Blair City Council Tuesday night approved an ordinance adopting the Economic Development Program for the city. Additionally, City public works director CJ Heaton reviewed proposed bonds for the Water system – one in the amount of 50 million dollars, another in the amount of 16 million dollars, issuance of those bonds was approved by the council. The City of Blair’s Fourth of July Celebration will be July 4th at dusk with Midwest Fireworks display, a sing along, and other activities planned. The City Council heard an update on those plans – the event is at the former Dana track and field area on Transformation Hill. Participants are reminded that the Fourth of July event is family friendly and no alcohol or personal fireworks are permitted.
